Day 17: Friday, July 4, 2008

Today is the last day of 17 days to make a difference. I have decided to do something big to round it all off.

What I did to make a difference was that I folded the laundry. No one in my family enjoys doing that, and usually the job gets dumped on me. However today, I volunteered to do it, and even though my mum growled at me for nothing at all, I kept my mouth shut and kept folding.

No body said thank you, but its alright because I feel happy that I spent a good 10 minutes doing something I hated doing.

Day 16: Thursday, June 3, 2008

Today my mum had to go out, so she asked me to make dinner. Since I was thinking about what I could do to make a difference, I said yes. Then, mum started giving me all these complicated instructions about how to boil brocolli and how to turn on the oven and cook the fish fingers.

I made dinner as best as I could, and I hope that it'll be ok. I know I made a difference because mum really had to go out, and she'll be late if she had to cook dinner. I know she appreciated it because before she left, she said thank you, Angeline.

Day 15: Wednesday, June 2, 2008

I did two good deeds today. My first good deed was that I stacked Clyde's chair for him. Even though I think he saw me doing it, he didn't say thank you.

My other good deed was that it was chilly and my mum was outside, tidying the car. I offered to help, but she said no. So instead, I made two hot cups of soup for her and me. I know I made a difference because she said thank you Angeline, I really appreciate it.
